2019’s in the Rear View; Looking Ahead to the Roaring 20’s

As I sit here reflecting back on 2019 amazed at what we were able to accomplish with this passion project. Because of the support and encouragement we received throughout the Kickstarter campaign and the weeks and months following I am beyond thankful.

We were able to get the project funded which enabled us to get My Coping Cards into the hands of hundreds of people who were looking for some additional support and a unique way to help manage their anxiety and stress. We were also able to spread the mental health awareness message through a small social media campaign, individual outreach and word of mouth. We were able to share the project in newspaper outlets including the San Diego Union Tribune and Coast News. We showed them to audiences on CBS & KUSI and on the Jagger and Kristi morning radio program. We also placed them in three local retail locations and just received a second order last week!

In 2020 we will keep the project going by continuing to talk about how My Coping Cards can continue to help others in need as a supportive tool in managing their challenges. We’ll do this by hard work, persistence and probably making some mistakes along the way.

But, as Neil Gaiman said, “I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You're doing things you've never done before, and more importantly, you're doing something.”

I wish you all happiness and health in the new year and remember, you are responsible for the effort, not the outcome!
